Bottling it Up

Hey, guys happy Thursday! Today I need to talk to you about something that’s actually quite difficult for me to do myself. We are going to be talking about the idea of communicating to others about our problems.

This this something I’m really bad at, but have been working on for a while. I hate telling people what’s going on in my life when it’s difficult. I like to internalize things and I tend to be quieter when life is getting rough for me.

For those of you who do not know me, I am a chatterbox, and for me it’s very odd if I’m not talking.
God tells believers to work through problems problems together, instead of on our own. Galatians 6:2 says
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Communicating our problems and working through them with other believers is how we are able to fulfill and obey the law of Christ. For us to tell others what’s going on in our life, it takes vulnerability and reach ability. Asking others to speak into our lives and help us solve problems sometimes leaves us open for criticism that we may not like, or a new side to an issue that we haven’t seen before. Working through problems in a public way creates testimony and public transformation in Christ. Who can see Jesus changing us and growing us to be more like him if we try to do it on our own? I can guarantee you that you’re not the first one to go through whatever it is you’re going through! Other people have done it before, and by sharing what your problems are, others testimonies may be able to encourage and grow you in a way that you never would be able to on your own.
I can tell you that for sure!

This plays an important role for Christians because we’re able to help each other through the tough times.
This weeks challenge is going to be to to find a strong Christian or even email me to just talk about your problems and open up. If it is sin, do not be afraid! James 5:16 says “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

Good luck,
